Unlike syrupy commercial examples, it maintains a crisp, refreshing structure thanks to a firm bittering backbone provided by Magnum hops. The single-malt base provides a light, bready canvas that allows the tartness of the cassis to shine. Refermentation in the bottle adds a lively effervescence and nuanced yeast character, resulting in a sophisticated, dry-leaning finish that balances dark fruit notes with a distinctive, thirst-quenching bitterness.
Appearance. Hazy, deep reddish-pink to soft purple hue (SRM 10-14); thick, pink-tinted white head with excellent retention and delicate lacing.
