This Hazy Double IPA presents an intense, juice-forward profile that centers on a saturation of modern hops. Amarillo brings layers of vibrant orange and stone fruit, while Citra Cryo amplifies the citrus intensity with concentrated lemon and grapefruit notes. The addition of Sabro introduces a distinct tropical complexity, offering hints of coconut and soft creaminess that blend into a lush, pineapple-heavy finish. Despite its strength at 8.2% ABV, the malt profile remains supportive and soft, providing a velvety canvas for the hop oils. It drinks with a refreshing, breakfast-juice vibrancy, balanced by a clean, restrained bitterness that keeps the focus entirely on its saturated fruit character.
Appearance. SRM 5-7, pale gold to light orange; opaque with a significant haze. Thick, creamy, white head with excellent retention and heavy lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring tropical pineapple, mango, and distinct coconut notes from Sabro. Significant citrus zest from Citra and Amarillo. Malt is low and neutral, providing a light bready backdrop with low stone fruit esters.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical fruit juice including mango and orange. Hop flavors are prominent, showcasing citrus peel and creamy coconut. Low to medium supportive malt character with a soft, bready quality. Bitterness is moderate and smooth, lacking any harshness. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering impression of tropical fruit oils.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, velvety texture. Carbonation is moderate. Displays a light, smooth alcohol warmth without being solventy. No hop-derived astringency.
