This Double IPA, a collaborative effort with Other Half, delivers a vibrant sensory experience defined by intense New World hop character. The aroma is a concentrated burst of tropical fruit, resinous pine, and bright citrus, supported by a clean, neutral malt backbone. On the palate, an assertive bitterness provides structure without harshness, allowing layers of mango, grapefruit, and stone fruit to shine. Despite its strength at 8% ABV, the beer remains remarkably drinkable with a medium body and a crisp, dry finish. The influence of modern hop techniques ensures a complex profile where hop oils dominate, leaving a lingering, resinous aftertaste.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper with a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head. Clarity is good, though a very slight haze is acceptable given the high hopping rate.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of passion fruit, pineapple, and citrus zest. A faint, clean, crackery maltiness sits in the background, complemented by a light, fruity fermentation profile and a subtle, clean alcohol note.

Taste. Initial hop-forward impression of mango and grapefruit pith, transitioning into a moderately high bitterness that is firm but smooth. The malt character is low and unobtrusive, providing a soft, bready foundation. Finishes medium-dry with a long, resinous, and hoppy aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a lively prickle. A gentle, restrained alcohol warmth is present, reflecting its strength without any solventy harshness.
