A-TYPE presents as a formidable Double IPA, leaning into Triple IPA territory with its 9.5% ABV and punchy character. The sensory experience is dominated by an explosion of New World hops, delivering intense waves of tropical fruit, resinous pine, and bright citrus. Despite its strength, the malt profile remains intentionally lean and grainy, providing a clean canvas for the hop intensity. A soft yet firm bitterness anchors the palate, leading into a dry finish that balances the significant alcohol presence. This is a hop-forward ale where the power of the hops is matched by a smooth, well-integrated warming sensation.

Appearance. Deep gold to light copper (8-10 SRM) with a slight, modern haze. Features a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head with excellent lacing.

Aroma. Intense hop-forward bouquet featuring heavy notes of mango, passionfruit, and resinous pine. Supportive background hints of neutral, crackery malt and a clean, subtle alcohol sweetness with low fruity esters.

Taste. Strong hop flavors of tropical stone fruit and citrus zest dominate. Supported by a low, unobtrusive bready malt character. Bitterness is moderately high but smooth and lacking harshness, finishing very dry with a lingering hoppy and resinous aftertaste.
