Inspired by the crisp, refreshing beers of Latin America, Chela reimagines the Kölsch style with a base of barley malt and corn. This hybrid approach delivers a brilliantly clear, pale gold pour with an inviting sensory profile. The aroma reveals a delicate interplay between grainy-sweet malt and the zesty, herbal lift of lemongrass, further brightened by a cold-hopping of Citra. On the palate, a soft, rounded maltiness provides a platform for subtle lime and tropical fruit notes, finishing remarkably dry and crisp. It is a light-bodied, highly attenuated lagered ale designed for maximum refreshment during high heat.
Appearance. Medium yellow to light gold. Brilliant clarity with a delicate, fine-textured white head that shows moderate persistence and light lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring low grainy-sweet malt and a distinct corn-like sweetness. The profile is defined by fresh, zesty lemongrass and the citrus-forward character of Citra hops, offering hints of lime and grapefruit.
