This American IPA delivers a bold sensory experience centered on a vibrant and punchy hop profile. Intense notes of bright citrus and grapefruit zest lead the palate, supported by underlying resins and a clean, subtle pine character. A crisp, grainy malt backbone provides just enough structure to support the aggressive bitterness without introducing cloying sweetness. At 7% ABV, the beer exhibits a smooth, well-integrated warmth that enhances its medium-bodied texture. The finish is decisively dry and lingering, leaving a crisp trail of citrus oils and floral hop notes, making it a quintessential hop-forward ale.
Appearance. Medium gold to light reddish-amber in color with a clear to slightly hazy presentation. Features a medium-sized, off-white head with good persistence and light lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by citrus and floral notes. Low, clean, grainy maltiness supports the hops. The fermentation profile is clean with very low yeast-derived esters.
Taste. Initial impression is hop-forward with medium-high to high bitterness. Hop flavors feature prominent citrus and resin. Low grainy malt and light toast notes provide a supportive background. The finish is dry to medium-dry with a lingering, bitter, and hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth texture and no harshness. Carbonation is medium-high. A light, smooth alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated.
