Appearance. Deep opaque golden-orange, resembling fresh fruit nectar. A thick, off-white head with moderate retention that settles into a persistent creamy ring; slight lacing is evident.
Aroma. High intensity aromatics of fresh, ripe mango and crushed pineapple. A prominent confectionery sweetness reminiscent of vanilla bean and fluffy marshmallows provides a creamy backdrop, alongside a clean lactic tartness and very low earthy funk.
Taste. Initial impression is a sharp, clean lactic acidity immediately softened by a dense fruit puree sweetness. Dominant flavors of sweet mango and tangy pineapple lead into a mid-palate of marshmallow fondant and subtle bready malt. La Debauche Mellow is een uitgesproken, decadente Pastry Sour die fruitige frisheid en romige zoetheid perfect weet te combineren. Deze unieke creatie is het resultaat van een samenwerking tussen het innovatieve La Débauche en het gerenommeerde Franse Brasserie Castelain.
Voor deze bijzondere sour werd gebruikgemaakt van maar liefst 132 kilogram marshmallows, samen met bijna 10% mango en ruim 4% ananas per brouwsel. Het resultaat is een dessertbier dat zowel zijdezacht als verfrissend is, met een perfecte balans tussen tropisch fruit, zoete romigheid en een lichte zuurtje.
