La Casa di Cura Tripel is a sophisticated Monastic Ale that balances strength with remarkable drinkability. The sensory profile is led by a complex, seamless bouquet of spicy, peppery phenols and citrusy esters reminiscent of lemon and orange peel. Built upon a soft foundation of Pilsner malt, it delivers a delicate honey-like sweetness that quickly transitions into a firm bitterness. In line with its traditional monastic inspiration, the finish is exceptionally dry and effervescent. The 8.9% alcohol is masterfully deceptive, integrated into a medium-light body that masks its potency while providing a clean, lingering spicy aftertaste that invites another sip.

Appearance. Deep yellow to gold (5-6 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Features a massive, rocky, long-lasting white head that leaves dense, creamy lacing on the glass as it slowly recedes.

Aroma. High intensity with a complex blend of spicy, peppery, and light clove-like phenols alongside moderate fruity esters of orange and lemon. A low, floral, and perfumy hop character complements a light, grainy-sweet malt background with hints of honey.

Taste. Initial impression is a soft, grainy malt sweetness followed by a wave of spicy yeast character and citrus fruitiness. Medium-high bitterness (approximately 30-35 IBU) provides a clean counterpoint to the malt. The finish is very dry, crisp, and highly attenuated, leaving a moderate spicy-fruity aftertaste with no harshness.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body that feels surprisingly lean for the gravity. High carbonation creates a lively, effervescent, and prickly sensation on the tongue. Alcohol warmth is subtle and well-integrated, providing a gentle glow without being hot or fusel.
