This Double IPA presents an intense sensory experience, defined by its massive double dry-hop additions of Nelson Sauvin and Ekuanot. The aroma is dominated by Nelson Sauvin’s signature notes of white wine, gooseberry, and passionfruit, layered over Ekuanot’s complex profile of citrus, papaya, and a touch of herbal spice. A bright golden appearance is topped by a persistent white head. On the palate, a firm bitterness is balanced by a clean, lean malt profile that allows the tropical fruit flavors to persist into a crisp, dry finish. The 8% ABV provides a smooth, warming presence that enhances the beer’s substantial hop character.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper (approx. 7-10 SRM). Features a moderate-sized, persistent white to off-white head with excellent lacing. Generally clear, though a faint haze from the heavy dry-hopping is acceptable.

Aroma. Intense hop aroma featuring prominent notes of white grape, gooseberry, and tropical fruit from the Nelson Sauvin, alongside citrus, melon, and subtle herbal peppers from the Ekuanot. Malt is clean, neutral, and supportive. Fermentation is clean with very low esters and a hint of smooth alcohol.

Taste. Strong hop flavors mirror the aroma, showcasing complex tropical fruit, pithy citrus, and vinous notes. Bitterness is high and firm but lacks harshness. The malt character is low, providing a soft, bready backdrop. Finishes very dry and clean with a long-lasting, resinous hop aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, almost creamy texture. Carbonation is medium-high, adding a crisp edge. A light, pleasant alcohol warmth is noticeable but well-integrated, with no hop-derived astringency.
