This ephemeral Hazy IPA from La Barberie’s small-batch series delivers an explosive tropical profile driven by a potent blend of Nectaron, Citra, and Mosaic hops. The pour displays a signature opaque glow with a soft, meringue-like head. Intensely aromatic, the beer leads with Nectaron’s lush stone fruit and pineapple notes, followed by Citra’s vibrant grapefruit and Mosaic’s complex mango and blueberry accents. On the palate, the experience is silky and juicy, featuring a medium-full body that carries a soft, low bitterness and a clean, grainy malt backbone. The finish is smooth and off-dry, leaving a lingering impression of passion fruit and zesty citrus.
Appearance. Straw to light amber (4-6 SRM); opaque with a persistent, rocky, white meringue-like head and substantial lacing.
Aroma. High intensity of tropical fruit; prominent notes of peach and pineapple from Nectaron, accented by grapefruit zest from Citra and mango from Mosaic. Background notes of bready, grainy malt and neutral fermentation esters.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor dominated by stone fruit, citrus, and tropical berries. Low perceived bitterness with a soft, rounded character. Low bready malt flavor provides a supportive backbone. The finish is clean and off-dry with a lingering juicy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, silky texture; medium carbonation. No harshness or astringency; very light alcohol warmth.
