Appearance. Deep brown to near black (25-30 SRM) with ruby highlights at the edges. Displays a moderate, creamy light tan head with fair to good retention and light lacing. Clarity is good, though the beer appears opaque in the glass.
Aroma. Moderate intensity with a complex malt profile of toasted bread, biscuit, and chocolate. The addition of tonka bean and vanilla creates a prominent gourmand layer, offering scents of almond and sweet spice. Subtle earthy hop notes and low fruity esters are present in the background.
