Krug-Bräu Breitenlesauer Hell is a quintessentially Franconian take on the Munich Helles, pouring a brilliant golden yellow with a persistent white head. The aroma is defined by moderate grainy-sweet Pilsner malt and subtle herbal hop notes. On the palate, it offers a soft, rounded mouthfeel with a gentle sweetness that yields to a clean, balanced finish. Low bitterness from traditional German hops provides a delicate counterpoint to the bready malt core without overshadowing it. This lager is exceptionally smooth and refreshing, epitomizing the drinkable, malt-forward character expected of a traditional regional Helles, supported by a clean fermentation profile.

Appearance. 3–5 SRM. Golden yellow to pale gold. Clear with a persistent, creamy white head and light lacing.

Aroma. Moderate intensity with a dominant grainy-sweet malt character. Low spicy and herbal hop notes. Exceptionally clean fermentation profile with no esters or phenols.

Taste. Moderately malty initial impression with a grainy-sweet flavor and a soft, rounded palate. Low spicy hop flavor. Bitterness is low to medium-low, providing just enough balance against the malt. Soft and dry finish with a lingering clean malt aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with moderate carbonation. Smooth, well-lagered character with no alcohol warmth or astringency.
