Krombacher Pils is a quintessential German Pils that highlights the purity of its mountain spring water, often referred to as Felsquellwasser. The pour is brilliant gold with a persistent, creamy white head. On the nose, it offers a moderate intensity of flowery and spicy herbal hops, balanced by a light doughy and cracker-like malt sweetness. The palate is defined by a clean, crisp profile where a firm hop bitterness immediately asserts itself over a lean malt base. Appearance. Brilliant straw to pale gold (2–3 SRM); crystal clear with a dense, long-lasting, creamy white foam head that leaves fine lacing on the glass.

Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring herbal and spicy noble hop notes. Clean, grainy-sweet malt character with hints of toasted cracker and a light honeyed quality. Clean fermentation profile with no yeast esters or diacetyl.

Taste. Crisp and bitterness-forward; initial grainy-sweet malt flavors are quickly overtaken by a moderate to high hop bitterness. Flavors of dried herbs and spice dominate the mid-palate. Finishes very dry and clean with a lingering, pleasant bitterness and a faint flinty minerality.
