This vibrant Double IPA showcases a modern, multi-layered hop display driven by Mosaic, Citra, and Nelson Sauvin. A complex burst of tropical mango and passion fruit merges with the sophisticated, vinous character of white wine and gooseberry, balanced by a sharp, citrusy twist. Beneath this intense hop profile, a subtle, clean malt backbone provides structured support without adding cloying sweetness. Smooth but potent, the beer delivers a clean, assertive bitterness that cuts through the rich tropical layers, culminating in a dry, lingering finish with just a whisper of warming alcohol.

Appearance. Gold to pale orange-copper color (around 8 SRM). Pours with a very slight, modern haze that remains acceptable for the style, crowned by a moderate-sized, persistent, fluffy off-white head that leaves intricate, tight lacing.

Aroma. Intense, explosive hop-forward aroma. Dominated by tropical notes of ripe mango and passion fruit, alongside a highly distinct white wine, gooseberry, and crushed grape character. A clean, citrusy undertone of grapefruit and tangerine peel is present. Malt is very low and neutral, providing a soft, background support. Fermentation is clean and free of notable esters, save for those derived from the hops.

Taste. The initial impression is a powerful wave of tropical and vinous hop flavor. Sweet mango, passion fruit, and gooseberry flavors are prominent, complemented by a sharp, refreshing citrus zest. Malt flavor is low and neutral, offering a soft, unobtrusive graininess that allows the hops to shine. Bittering is high but smooth, avoiding harshness or astringency, perfectly balancing the intense fruit notes. Finishes dry to medium-dry with a lingering, clean hop bitterness and a complex, fruity aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a remarkably smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is moderate to medium-high, providing a lively prickle on the tongue. No harsh, hop-derived astringency is present. A gentle, restrained alcohol warmth is noticeable but extremely well-integrated.
