Kosmonauta Cerveceria Supernova
This lean American IPA radiates with a luminous, translucent gold hue. The aromatic profile is dominated by high-intensity notes of fresh pineapple and tropical fruit driven by Mosaic hops, complemented by a light citrus and resinous edge from Chinook. A sophisticated malt bill featuring Extra pale Crisp, wheat, and oats provides a soft, bready foundation that remains unobtrusive. Fermented with Verdant yeast, the beer exhibits subtle fruity esters that enhance the hop character. Thanks to the use of enzymes during fermentation, the palate is exceptionally dry and crisp, offering high drinkability with a firm, clean bitterness and a refreshing finish.
Appearance. Pale gold (approx. 5-6 SRM); translucent clarity with a white, medium-low head that displays moderate persistence.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent pineapple, mango, and tropical fruit from Mosaic, accented by grapefruit and a hint of pine from Chinook. Low grainy-sweet malt character. Light, clean fruity esters are present.
Taste. An initial punch of tropical fruit and citrus hop flavors. The malt flavor is low, presenting as clean, crackery grain from the Extra pale Crisp malt. Bitterness is medium-high and clean. The finish is remarkably dry and crisp due to enzymatic action, leaving a lingering hop-forward aftertaste of pine and citrus.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, soft texture from the inclusion of oats and wheat malt. Moderate to high carbonation. No perceived alcohol warmth. Clean, non-astringent finish.
