KOM Beer

A powerhouse Double IPA that radiates with a lush, saturated hop profile. The trio of Nelson Sauvin, Citra, and Mosaic creates a sophisticated sensory landscape, leading with Nelson Sauvin’s signature crushed white grape and gooseberry notes. Citra and Mosaic broaden the mid-palate with layers of ripe mango, citrus zest, and deep forest berries. At 9.2% ABV, the beer carries a substantial presence but remains remarkably smooth. Its New England-inspired character ensures a soft, opaque texture that cushions the firm bitterness, finishing with a lingering resinous and tropical fruit flourish that highlights the brewer’s hop-forward intent.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper; opaque haze with a dense, persistent, off-white creamy head and excellent lacing.

Aroma. Intense hop-forward aroma dominated by Nelson Sauvin’s white wine and gooseberry character, followed closely by Mosaic’s blueberry and tropical fruit. Citra provides a bright grapefruit and lime top note. Low, neutral grainy malt sweetness and a clean fermentation profile with a soft, integrated alcohol presence.

Taste. Explosive hop flavors of passion fruit, mango, and lychee from the Mosaic and Citra, while Nelson Sauvin adds a complex vinous quality. Bitterness is firm but rounded, avoiding harshness. A light, supportive bready malt backbone provides balance without adding caramel sweetness. The finish is medium-dry with a long, fruity aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a silky, creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate. A smooth, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, reflecting the strength without being solventy or hot.
