KOM Beer JACK
This Double IPA showcases a vibrant, modern hop profile driven by Nectaron, Motueka, and Mosaic. An intense aromatic burst of ripe pineapple, passion fruit, and bright zesty lime dominates the nose, supported by a clean, neutral malt base. On the palate, a firm but smooth bitterness balances layers of tropical stone fruit and subtle pine. At 8% ABV, the beer remains impressively drinkable with a lean, dry finish that avoids the heavy sweetness of a barleywine. The interplay of Southern Hemisphere fruit notes and classic berry-citrus complexity creates a sophisticated, punchy sensory experience that lingers with a crisp, hoppy aftertaste.
Appearance. Deep gold to light copper (8–10 SRM). High clarity with a moderate, persistent white head that leaves fine lacing on the glass.
Aroma. Intense hop aroma featuring peach and pineapple from Nectaron, distinct lime zest from Motueka, and blueberry notes from Mosaic. Supportive, neutral, grainy malt in the background with a clean fermentation profile and a light, well-integrated alcohol note.
Taste. High hop flavor mirroring the aroma; bold tropical fruit and citrus zest. Moderately high bitterness that is clean and lacks harshness. Very low, soft malt presence providing a lean backbone. Finishes dry and crisp with a lingering resinous and fruity hop character.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, soft texture. Medium-high carbonation provides a lively feel. Notable but well-restrained alcohol warmth without any harshness.
