This West Coast Double IPA delivers a high-intensity sensory experience led by the distinctive combination of Nelson Sauvin and Strata hops. The aroma is dominated by crushed white grapes, gooseberry, and tropical passion fruit, accented by a pungent, resinous dankness. On the palate, the bold hop profile shifts toward ripe berries and grapefruit, supported by a lean, neutral malt backbone that ensures a dry, crisp finish. A firm, assertive bitterness characteristic of the style anchors the profile, while the 9% ABV is masterfully integrated, providing a smooth, warming sensation that enhances the vibrant New World hop character without sacrificing drinkability.

Appearance. Deep gold to light copper (approx. 8–12 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Topped by a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head that leaves decorative lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of white wine grapes, gooseberry, and passion fruit. A secondary layer of resinous dankness and subtle strawberry emerges. Malt is very low and neutral, providing a clean, crackery background. Fermentation is clean with a soft, supportive alcohol presence.

Taste. Initial hop-forward impact of tropical fruit and resin. Flavors of gooseberry and passion fruit dominate the mid-palate, followed by a clean, grainy-sweet malt support. Bitterness is high to very high but remains smooth and free of harshness. The finish is dry to medium-dry, leaving a long, lingering aftertaste of resinous hops and citrus peel.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily texture from hop oils. Medium carbonation provides a crisp mouth-coating effect. A noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, without any harsh hop-derived astringency.
