This alcohol-free American Pale Ale presents a modern, juice-forward profile driven by a trio of expressive hops. The inclusion of Citra and Krush creates a vibrant tropical core of mango and guava, while Talus adds a distinctive layer of pink grapefruit and subtle resin. Despite its low alcohol content, it maintains the hazy, soft aesthetic of a contemporary IPA. The sensory experience is dominated by these New World aromatics, supported by a light, bready malt base that ensures a balanced finish. It captures the essence of a tropical hop garden without the weight of a standard-strength ale.
Appearance. Light straw to golden (3-5 SRM). Pours with a hazy, opaque clarity and a moderately large, frothy white head with good retention and lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of ripe mango, guava, and zesty pink grapefruit. Low grainy-sweet malt character supports the hops. Fermentation is clean with very low fruity esters.
Taste. Initial impression is juicy and fruit-forward. Flavors of tropical mango and guava dominate, followed by a punchy grapefruit bitterness from the Talus hops. Malt flavor is low and bready. Bitterness is moderate, providing a clean, medium-dry finish with a lingering citrus aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with moderate to high carbonation. Smooth and slightly creamy due to the haze, with no astringency. Alcohol warmth is non-existent.
