This pale anniversary brew showcases a modern hop profile, specifically utilizing Cashmere hops to impart bright, distinctive orange and melon notes. The sensory experience is defined by a bready malt backbone that supports a refreshing, citrus-forward bitterness. Despite the contemporary hop choice, the beer retains a classic British structure, offering a crisp, dry finish that emphasizes drinkability and a balanced, fruity complexity characteristic of a well-crafted celebratory ale, providing a clean yet flavorful profile that honors the brewery's heritage.
Appearance. Pale amber to light copper (8-10 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Displays a low to moderate off-white head with fair retention and light lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity with a foundation of bready and biscuity malt. The hop character is pronounced for the style, featuring orange zest and melon from the Cashmere hops, supported by moderate fruity esters and a very low earthy undertone.
Taste. Initial bready malt sweetness is quickly overtaken by a medium-high bitterness. Flavors of orange peel and light lemon dominate the mid-palate. The finish is decidedly dry and clean, with a lingering citrus hop character and subtle toasty malt notes. No diacetyl present.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with moderate carbonation. Smooth and highly drinkable with very low astringency and a refreshing, crisp texture.
