Much Obliged is a classic American IPA that leans into the assertive, resinous profile of the West Coast tradition. Pouring a clear medium gold, it leads with an intense aromatic punch of citrus zest, fresh pine needles, and a hint of tropical stone fruit. The palate is dominated by a firm, clean bitterness that cuts through a lean, grainy malt base featuring subtle toasted notes. At 7.5% ABV, a smooth, integrated warmth rounds out the dry, crisp finish. This collaboration captures a bright, hop-forward intensity, balancing resinous depth with a vibrant, fruity hop character that lingers long after the final sip.
Appearance. Color is a clear medium gold (approx. 7 SRM). It features a medium-sized, persistent off-white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma with dominant notes of grapefruit, resinous pine, and a touch of tropical mango. A low, clean, grainy maltiness supports the hop profile. Fermentation character is clean.
Taste. High hop flavor echoing the aroma's citrus and pine. Bitterness is medium-high to high and clean. Malt flavor is low to medium-low, offering a light cracker and toasted character. The finish is dry and crisp with a lingering hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth texture. Carbonation is medium-high. A very light, smooth alcohol warmth is present, but no harshness or astringency.
