In Motion is a vibrant Hazy IPA that captures the essence of New Zealand’s hop landscape. Dominated by a heavy addition of Motueka, the profile leads with bright lime and crushed citrus zest, supported by the stone fruit nuances of Rakau and the distinctive passionfruit and complex savory edges of Riwaka. The double dry-hopping process creates a saturated tropical fruit experience that dances over a soft, bready malt base. This collaboration emphasizes a lush, juicy character with a clean fermentation profile, finishing with a gentle, supportive bitterness that balances the intense New World hop saturation and provides high drinkability.
Appearance. Pours a deep straw to light gold (4–6 SRM) with a thick, opaque haze that offers a characteristic luminous shine. It is topped by a dense, meringue-like white head with exceptional retention and intricate lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent lime, lemon curd, and tropical passionfruit. Secondary notes of peach, apricot, and a unique savory, dank quality emerge. The malt is low and neutral, presenting as fresh bread dough or lightly grainy flakes without any caramel or toast.
Taste. An explosion of tropical fruit and citrus flavors mimics the aroma, with lime and pineapple taking center stage. The malt provides a soft, pillowy foundation of bready sweetness that carries the hop oils. Bitterness is moderate and smooth, never harsh, leading into an off-dry, juicy finish. A subtle, complex savory note adds depth to the lingering fruity aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, silky texture likely derived from flaked grains. Carbonation is moderate, contributing to a smooth mouthfeel. At 7.2% ABV, there is a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth without any astringency or hop burn.
