BUGGIN is a vibrant Double IPA that showcases an intensive hop profile through the aggressive use of Citra, Idaho 7, Loral, and Simcoe. Citra brings bright grapefruit and lime zest, while Idaho 7 contributes ripe pineapple and stone fruit layers. Loral adds a delicate floral and herbal complexity, balanced by the grounding resinous pine and passionfruit notes of Simcoe. At 8% ABV, the alcohol is well-integrated, providing a smooth warmth that supports a dry, crisp finish. The neutral malt remains a clean, supportive background, allowing the high hop bitterness to shine without harshness, creating a bold yet dangerously drinkable sensory experience.
Appearance. Pale gold to light orange (SRM 7-9) with a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head that leaves significant lacing. Clarity is mostly clear, though a slight hop haze is present from heavy dry-hopping.
Aroma. Intensity is high, featuring a complex blend of grapefruit, pineapple, and mango. Distinct floral and herbal notes are present alongside a resinous pine character. Malt is low and neutral, offering a light grainy sweetness in the background with a clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Strong hop flavors of citrus, tropical fruit, and peach dominate the initial impression. Bitterness is firm and moderately high but smooth. A low, clean, soft malt character provides a supportive base. The finish is dry to medium-dry with a lingering hoppy, bitter aftertaste and a light, clean alcohol warmth.
