Kererū Brewing Company Rotating Rhino
This Hazy IPA offers a lush, opaque pour, leading with an intense bouquet of tropical fruit. The standout New Zealand hops, Superdelic and Nelson Sauvin, create a vibrant sensory profile defined by distinct notes of lychees, stone fruit, and a unique peaches & cream character. A resinous whisper of pine balances the heavy fruit presence. The 7.5% ABV provides a gentle, supporting warmth that enhances the medium-full, soft mouthfeel. Grainy, bready malts remain in the background, allowing the aromatic complexity of the hops to shine through to a smooth, low-bitterness finish.
Appearance. Straw to light orange (approx. 5 SRM). Opaque and hazy with a luminous shine. Topped by a thick, meringue-like white head with excellent retention and dense lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma featuring prominent lychees, white grape, and stone fruit. Distinctive Superdelic notes of peaches & cream are complemented by the tropical and slight piney character of Nelson Sauvin. Malt is low and bready; fermentation is clean with subtle fruity esters.
Taste. Intensely fruity with layers of peach, lychee, and tropical citrus. Low to medium-low perceived bitterness provides a soft balance to the off-dry finish. Malt flavors are neutral and grainy. The aftertaste is clean and juice-like, lacking any hop harshness or astringency.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy texture. Moderate carbonation. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present. Smooth throughout with no raw grain or acidic harshness.
