Brouwerij Kees Double Rye IPA is a potent Specialty IPA that balances bold hop intensity with a complex malt backbone. The beer presents a brilliant golden hue topped with a fine, persistent white head. High-intensity aromas of tropical fruit and pungent resin from a generous blend of American hops lead the profile, supported by the signature spicy and earthy notes of rye. On the palate, the Pale Ale malt provides a sturdy foundation for aggressive bitterness and flavors of mango and pine. The rye adds a peppery depth and a tactile graininess that persists into a crisp, dry finish. Despite its strength, the alcohol remains well-integrated, providing a gentle warmth that complements the beer’s full-bodied and aromatic character.
Appearance.Golden color (6–9 SRM). Fine, white head with excellent retention and lacing. High clarity, though a very slight haze from heavy dry hopping is acceptable.
Aroma.High intensity American hop character featuring tropical fruit (mango, pineapple) and resinous pine. Distinctive spicy, peppery, and earthy rye notes are prominent. Low grainy-sweet Pale Ale malt presence. Clean fermentation profile.

The malt profile is defined by spicy, peppery rye and a bready, grainy Pale Ale malt background. High bitterness (70+ IBU) is firm but not harsh. Finishes very dry with a lingering spicy, hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel.Medium-full body with a slight creamy/oily texture from the rye. Moderate carbonation. Noticeable but smooth alcohol warmth. Minimal astringency despite the high hop and rye content.
