Kasteel Blond ist ein belgischer Durstlöscher. Im Vergleich zu den anderen Bieren der Kasteel-Reihe hat das Kasteel Blond nur „leichte“ 7% Alkohol. Ursprünglich, hieß dieses Bier Kasteelbier Blond und hatte 11% Alkohol. Doch vor ein paar Jahren änderte die Brauerei den Namen des Bieres von „Kasteelbier“ zu „Kasteel“. In diesem Zug wurde auch der Alkoholgehalt gesenkt, das original Blond wurde dann zu jetzigen Kasteel Tripel.
Das Kasteel Blond ist klar und goldfarben, es duftet leicht nach süßlichen Malznoten mit einem Hauch von Citrus und Banane. Vom ersten Schluck an merkt man wie gut die 7% Alkohol versteckt sind. Auch im Mund zeigt sich das feine Citrusaroma, das in dezenten süßlichen Malznoten von Karamell und Honig eingebettet ist. Der Abgang hält lange an und ist angenehm trocken mit einer moderaten Herbe. Ein angenehmes und erfrischendes Blond von der Castle Brewery Van Honsebrouck.
