This collaboration with Marble Beers reinvents the Strong Bitter with a vibrant, modern edge. A base of bready and lightly toasted British malts provides a sturdy foundation for an expressive hop profile. The use of contemporary UK varieties Godiva and Jester introduces layers of stone fruit, berries, and a hint of citrus, while the addition of Pilgrim hops maintains a traditional thread of earthy spice and herbal complexity. It drinks with the soulful depth of a classic pub ale but offers an intensified hop presence and a crisp, firm bitterness that defines its assertive character.

Appearance. Deep amber to copper color with brilliant clarity. Pours with a moderate, long-lasting off-white head that leaves consistent lacing on the glass.

Aroma. Moderately high hop intensity featuring notes of blackcurrant, spiced plum, and floral nectar from the Godiva and Jester hops. This is supported by a medium malt aroma suggestive of toasted bread and light caramel, finished with subtle fruity esters and a touch of earthy resin.

Taste. Initial impressions of biscuity malt and honeyed toast are quickly met by a wave of hop flavors. Tangy berry and marmalade notes transition into a firm, earthy bitterness driven by Pilgrim hops. The balance leans toward the hops, though the malt presence remains evident through the mid-palate. Finishes dry and clean with a lingering herbal aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate, providing a gentle prickle on the tongue. A very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present.
