Appearance. Deep amber to light copper color (12-14 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a moderate, creamy, off-white head that shows good retention and light lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity with a dominant malt character of toasted bread, caramel, and a hint of hazelnut. Hop aroma is moderately low, displaying earthy, floral, and slightly spicy notes. Subtle fruity esters reminiscent of dried pear or apple are present.
Taste. Initial malt sweetness of biscuit and toffee is quickly met by a firm hop bitterness. Hop flavors are earthy and herbal. The mid-palate reveals the richness of Crystal malt before transitioning into a characteristically nutty and medium-dry finish. Bitterness is noticeable but remains well-balanced against the malt backbone, with a clean aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate, providing a gentle prickle. Alcohol warmth is very low and well-integrated, with no astringency.
