Judas

First produced in 1986 by the Heineken owned Alken-Maes brewery, Judas is a typical Belgian Golden Ale with a high ABV, of course, weighing in at 8.5%. It appears a pale gold in colour with a light good head and has a classic fruity and sweet aroma that a strong Belgian provides. On the palte, citrus notes from the hops are balanced wonderfully by the toffee malts that lurk in the background. Undergoing a second fermentation in the bottle, this is a full bodied speciality beer with a slightly bitter taste with a truly excellent quality, as demonstrated by their comparisons to the most sought after Belgian beers around.
