This massive Eisbock underwent freeze distillation and extended aging in Heaven Hill and Jim Beam bourbon barrels to achieve its staggering 15.8% ABV. The sensory profile is incredibly concentrated, showcasing a base of 4-grain bok character amplified into a viscous, mahogany elixir. Expect an intense bouquet of sweet gale and spicy licorice melded with the unmistakable vanilla and toasted oak from the bourbon barrels. On the palate, luscious layers of caramel and dark cherry intertwine with wood-derived tannins. Despite its immense strength, the alcohol provides a smooth, refined warmth that balances the deep malt richness and spirit-forward complexity.

Appearance. Deep amber to dark mahogany with brilliant clarity and attractive ruby highlights. The head is deep ivory, showing poor retention due to high alcohol content, leaving oily, pronounced legs (tears) on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity featuring rich, toasted malt and heavy caramel. Distinctive herbal notes of sweet gale and licorice are prominent, layered over bourbon-derived vanilla and oak. Significant but smooth alcohol presence with dark fruit notes of cherry and plum; no hop aroma.

Taste. A rich and sweet initial impression of caramel and toasted grains. The mid-palate reveals complex wood-derived tannins, vanilla, and sweet cherry esters. Hop bitterness is low, providing just enough balance against the massive malt and spirit-forward flavors. The finish is long and warming with a lingering sweetness of licorice and bourbon-soaked wood.

Mouthfeel. Very full-bodied and viscous with a silky, syrupy texture. Carbonation is low. Significant alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated, lacking harshness or fusel heat.
