This International Pale Lager captures a refined simplicity, enhanced by the addition of Jasmine Rice and a distinctive hop profile. The aroma opens with a delicate floral perfume and a clean, crackery malt base, while the use of Sorachi Ace hops introduces bright, recognizable notes of lemon zest, lemongrass, and a subtle herbal hint of dill. An extensive eight-week lagering period results in brilliant clarity and a seamless, crisp finish. Highly attenuated and refreshing, the beer balances a light rice sweetness with a snappy bitterness, making for a sophisticated yet sessionable sensory experience that highlights unique botanical contributions without losing its lager identity.
Appearance. Brilliant, pale straw color (approx. 3 SRM). Features a bright white, frothy head with moderate retention and fine lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity with a very clean fermentation profile. Grainy-malty notes of white cracker and rice are complemented by a soft, perfumed floral character from the Jasmine Rice and lemon-led herbal notes from the Sorachi Ace hops.
Taste. Initial impression is crisp and highly attenuated. Low grainy-malt flavors of bread and rice are balanced by a medium-low bitterness. Distinctive Sorachi Ace flavors of lemongrass and lemon peel are evident, finishing dry and clean with a neutral, refreshing aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with moderately high carbonation that provides a sharp carbonic bite. Very smooth with no perceptible alcohol warmth or astringency.
