This Hazy Double IPA presents a vivid fusion of tropical and citrus intensity, driven by a heavy triple dry-hopping of Galaxy, Mosaic, and Idaho 7, supported by Loral Cryo. The sensory experience is defined by lush layers of honeydew melon, lime curd, and lemon jelly slices, underpinned by a soft, pillowy foundation of TexMalt Llano Pilsner, Denton County Wheat, and flaked oats. Fermented with A38 Juice yeast, the profile exudes a creamy coconut-milk sweetness and vibrant watermelon-cantaloupe sorbet notes. It balances high hop-saturated fruitiness with a smooth, well-integrated bitterness, finishing with a lingering, tropical complexity.
Appearance. Pale gold to deep yellow (4–6 SRM). Opaque and hazy with a thick, frothy, white head that exhibits excellent persistence and leaves heavy lacing.
Aroma. High intensity. Dominant aromas of sweet honeydew melon, lime zest, and tropical passion fruit. Background notes of creamy coconut and bright lemon candy. Clean, soft, wheaty malt scents with moderate fruity esters.
Taste. Initial waves of ripe cantaloupe and watermelon sorbet followed by sharp lime curd. Prominent hop flavors deliver tropical citrus and berry. Medium-high bitterness is present but softened by a creamy malt backbone. Finishes medium-dry with a lingering citrus peel and melon aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a creamy, smooth, and pillowy texture from the oats and wheat. Moderate carbonation. Noticeable but smooth alcohol warmth that enhances the tropical intensity without being solventy.
