Jakobsland Pixel Juice
Pixel Juice is a quintessential Hazy IPA, defined by a massive 20g/L double dry-hop charge that delivers a lush, saturated sensory profile. Fermented with Lallemand New England yeast, the beer exhibits a signature fruity ester character that seamlessly integrates with a complex hop bouquet. Citra and Bru1 drive intense aromas of ripe pineapple and stone fruit, while Ekuanot adds layers of tropical melon and papaya. Simcoe provides a necessary counterpoint of fresh pine resin, grounding the sweetness. The experience is incredibly juicy, characterized by a soft, pillowy texture and a vibrant citrus-forward finish that avoids any harsh bitterness.
Appearance. Deep straw to light gold in color (4-5 SRM) with an opaque, hazy glow. It supports a thick, meringue-like white head with exceptional retention and heavy, decorative lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma featuring dominant notes of pineapple, mango, and papaya. Substantial citrus presence of orange peel and lime is complemented by a distinct resinous pine. The Lallemand New England yeast contributes supportive esters of peach and apricot over a low, bready, grainy malt background.
Taste. High tropical fruit flavors of pineapple and mango lead the palate, followed by citrus and a light resinous pine. Malt flavor is low, providing a neutral, bready foundation. The bitterness is moderate but perceived as soft and rounded, never sharp. The finish is off-dry and exceptionally smooth with a lingering impression of tropical fruit juice.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full, soft, and pillowy body with a silky texture. Carbonation is moderate, contributing to a smooth mouthfeel. Alcohol warmth is very low and well-integrated; no hop-derived astringency or harshness is present.
