Kölsch 4.8 º 18 IBU
Jaira Kölsch is a refined tribute to the Cologne brewing tradition, delivering a refreshing profile characterized by its brilliant straw color and ivory foam with tight, small bubbles. The sensory experience is led by a delicate fruity bouquet—a subtle byproduct of its ale fermentation—which harmonizes with the light, herbal elegance of noble hops. The core of the beer is defined by high-quality Pilsen malt, offering a soft, bready sweetness that provides a rounded mouthfeel without being heavy. Crisp and clean, the experience concludes with low bitterness and a slightly dry finish, making it a quintessential examples of balance and drinkability.
Appearance. Straw color (3-5 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a clean, polished look. Features a delicate ivory head with small bubbles and moderate retention.
Aroma. Low intensity overall. Grainy-sweet malt character from the Pilsen base. Subtle fruity esters suggesting apple or pear are present from fermentation. Very low floral and spicy noble hop notes. Clean, fresh, and free of fermentation byproducts.
Taste. Initial impression of soft, grainy Pilsen malt with bready sweetness. Delicate fruitiness provides a rounded character. Low hop bitterness (approximately 20-25 IBU) provides just enough balance. Subtle herbal hop flavor. Finishes soft, dry, and slightly crisp with no lingering harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, soft texture. Carbonation is moderate to high, providing a refreshing prickle. No noticeable alcohol warmth. Well-attenuated and light on the palate.
