He tried to sell the elephant in England, but that plan failed and the poor animal ended up in a Dutch sausage factory. Whether or not Jack was actually reduced to sausages, remains unclear. What is clear, is that the legend of Jack has inspired great conversations throughout the decades. And that is exactly what the new bitter India Pale Ale of The Musketeers brewery wants to aspire: talking beer. Jack’s Precious IPA is a distinctive India Pale Ale: a refreshing and easily drinkable specialty beer with 5.9%. Jack’s Precious IPA is reminiscent of a floral bouquet with a citrus accent. The beer boasts a smooth, fruity and creamy taste, while the floral and spicy hop bitterness is by no means overpowering. Jack’s Precious IPA is pale in colour, with a snow-white head lingering like a silken fringe once savoured. The flavours of Jack’s Precious IPA were developed with the team of the Gollem specialty beer pubs in Amsterdam and Antwerp, pioneers in introducing the Dutch to Belgian specialty beers. Jack’s Precious IPA es de color pálido, con una espuma blanca como la nieve que persiste como un flequillo de seda una vez saboreada.

En 1904, el zoológico de Gante tuvo que cerrar y Jack, el elefante asiático, fue vendido a Siske, un llamado “gistmarchand” o comerciante de levadura. Intentó vender el elefante en Inglaterra, pero ese plan fracasó y el pobre animal acabó en Holanda.

Jack's Precious IPA, che fa parte della linea Belgian Legends Series, è una India Pale Ale rinfrescante e scorrevole con il 5,9% di alcol. Presenta un colore ambrato chiaro con una schiuma bianca di buona persistenza e un gusto fruttato e cremoso con una delicata amaricatura. Al naso è caratterizzata da note floreali con un accento agrumato. Perfetta per chi cerca una birra artigianale distintiva e di facile beva.

Curiosità: 

Nel 1904, lo zoo di Ghent dovette chiudere e Jack, l'elefante asiatico, fu venduto a Siske, un cosiddetto 'gistmarchand' o commerciante di lievito. Siske tentò di vendere l'elefante in Inghilterra, ma il piano fallì e il povero animale finì in una fabbrica di salsicce olandese. Non è dato sapere se l'elefante sia stato poi trasformato in salsicce, quello che è certo è che la sua storia ha scatnato a lungo dibattiti e discussioni. Ed è proprio questo quello che i Moschettieri hanno cercato attraverso questa birra: un prodotto che desse luogo a discussioni e ispirasse grandi convesazioni.
