Jackie O's Brewery Under A Cloud
Under A Cloud presents a lush, multi-layered tropical profile characteristic of a classic Hazy IPA. Massive hits of fresh pineapple from Bru-1 hops lead the charge, supported by the ripe papaya and melon notes of Ekuanot. Simcoe provides a subtle berry and passion fruit depth, while Citra Cryo delivers a bright, concentrated burst of lime and grapefruit zest. The malt presence is delicately bready, providing a soft, pillowy platform for the hop oils to shine. At 7% ABV, it maintains a clean fermentation profile with a smooth, velvety finish that emphasizes fruit saturation over lingering bitterness.
Appearance. Pale gold to light orange (5 SRM). Opaque, uniform haze with a brilliant white, meringue-like head that exhibits excellent retention and dense lacing.
Aroma. High intensity; dominant notes of pineapple and tropical stone fruit. Significant citrus zest and passion fruit components. Low, grainy-sweet malt background. No caramel, toast, or DMS.
Taste. Intensely fruity, mirroring the aroma with layers of pineapple, mango, and lime. Low to medium-low bitterness that is soft and never harsh. Finishes off-dry and juicy with a supportive, bready malt backbone and neutral fermentation character.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, silky, and rounded texture. Moderate carbonation. Very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth without any astringency or raw grain harshness.
