This Session IPA delivers a vibrant bouquet of fresh apricot and peach, driven by the trio of Ernest, Citra, and Sultana hops. The sensory profile opens with high-intensity stone fruit and bright citrus notes, grounded by a soft, pale malt character that reflects a wheaty malt body. On the palate, the hop-forward balance shines through with clean pineapple and grapefruit flavors, supported by a restrained, grainy malt profile. It finishes crisp and dry with a refreshing, moderate bitterness, offering the complexity of a traditional American IPA in a lighter, more approachable and highly drinkable format.
Appearance. Medium gold in color with a slight haze. Topped by a medium-sized, white head with good persistence and fine lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent stone fruit, citrus, and tropical notes. A low, clean, wheaty maltiness provides a soft background without caramel notes. Clean fermentation profile with no discernible esters.
Taste. Initial hop-dominant impression with flavors of peach, apricot, and pineapple. Low grainy maltiness with a distinct wheat softness. Bitterness is firm and clean, balancing the lean malt structure. Finishes dry with a lingering hoppy and bitter aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, soft texture. Carbonation is moderate to medium-high. No alcohol warmth or astringency is present.

The brewery also has a taproom which has a great community atmosphere you really should visit when you are next in Gravesend.Iron Pier produces a range of beers all of which are lovingly crafted, full of flavour and perfectly conditioned. Along with the fantastic beer each can is wrapped with some unique labels featuring the artwork of Gravesend artist and designer Duncan Grant.
