Glimmering Grove 2023 is a luminous Brett Beer that masterfully captures the essence of a sun-drenched orchard. This Danish Wild Ale blend, aged in Chardonnay and Monbazillac barrels, presents an intoxicating bouquet of Bergeron apricots and Tiffany white nectarines. The sensory experience is defined by a vibrant interplay between the succulent, honeyed depth of the stone fruits and a refined, rustic funk. Delicate vinous notes from the white wine casks provide a structured backdrop to the bright, puckering acidity. With its bone-dry finish and sophisticated layering, it transforms three years of maturation into a refreshing, fruit-forward celebration of summer.

Appearance. Deep gold to soft amber (8-12 SRM) with a persistent, fine-beaded white head and decent lacing. Features a moderate to heavy haze resulting from the extensive maceration of whole stone fruits.

Aroma. High intensity aromatics of ripe Bergeron apricots and floral Tiffany white nectarines. The wild fermentation contributes complex Brettanomyces notes of wet hay, aged leather, and dusty earth, complemented by vanillin and white grape must from the Chardonnay and Monbazillac barrels.

Taste. Initial impression is a wave of tart, juicy stone fruit—sweet apricot flesh balanced by the acidic tang of nectarine skin. Malt flavors are minimalist and crackery, yielding to a bone-dry, highly attenuated finish. Earthy, barnyard funk persists alongside subtle oak tannins and a hint of honeyed richness from the dessert wine barrels. Bitterness is very low, as the profile is driven by acidity.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a crisp, spritzy carbonation that enhances the fruit’s vibrancy. Features a faint, pleasant tannin-driven astringency from fruit skins and oak; alcohol presence is integrated and provides only a very light warmth.
