This New York State-sourced Helles Bock captures the essence of early spring with a profile centered on local agriculture. The aroma is defined by the evocative scent of the middle of freshly baked bread, complemented by delicate honeyed malt and a subtle herbal hop lift. On the palate, a robust grainy-sweet malt foundation provides weight, yet the beer remains remarkably drinkable thanks to a well-attenuated, clean finish. The balance leans toward the malt, but a firm, spicy, and herbal hop presence prevents any cloying sweetness, reflecting the brighter, more hop-forward nature of this traditional pale lager style.
Appearance. Deep gold (7 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a large, creamy, and persistent white head that leaves consistent lacing on the glass.
