Printing Hops is an assertive Double IPA defined by its saturated hop profile, a hallmark of the collaboration between Imprint, Aslin, and Juicy Brewing. Nectaron hops lead the charge with intense aromas of sun-ripened pineapple and nectarine, while Strata adds a complex layer of passionfruit and a subtle, dank resinous quality. On the palate, the hop-forward intensity is supported by a clean, neutral malt base that ensures a dry, drinkable finish despite the 8.2% ABV. Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (8-10 SRM) with a moderate-sized, persistent white head that leaves sticky lacing. Clarity is generally good, though a faint, modern hop haze is present.
Aroma. Prominent to intense hop aroma featuring ripe nectarine, pineapple, and passionfruit from the Nectaron, complemented by the dank, herbal, and slightly strawberry-like notes of Strata. Malt is neutral and grainy in the background, with a clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Strong and complex hop flavors of tropical fruit and resinous pine. Moderately high bitterness that provides a firm, clean structure without harshness. The malt character is low, soft, and unobtrusive, allowing the hops to dominate. Finishes dry and crisp with a lingering hoppy and bitter aftertaste.
