This Hazy IPA offers a vibrant sensory experience defined by its intensive double dry-hopping. A combination of Mosaic, Strata, and Ella hops produces a multifaceted profile featuring dank oranges and pulverized mangoes. The aromatic punch is complemented by notes of peach sorbet and sharp, refreshing citrus. On the palate, the soft malt backbone provides a smooth foundation for the tropical and stone fruit explosion, while expressive yeast treatments enhance the fruity ester profile. The result is a lush, juice-forward ale with a restrained bitterness and a velvety texture that emphasizes hop saturation over sharp edges.
Appearance. SRM 4-6. Hazy and nearly opaque with a soft orange glow. Pours with a dense, rocky, meringue-like white head that demonstrates excellent retention and leaves thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity aromatics of tropical mango and ripe peach. Distinctive dank, resinous notes from Mosaic and Strata blend with bright grapefruit and floral Ella qualities. Background notes of bready, grainy malt; no caramel or toast.
Taste. Explodes with flavors of sweet orange, mango pulp, and stone fruit. Low to medium-high perceived bitterness that is well-integrated and never harsh. The malt flavor is supportive and lightly bready, finishing off-dry with a lingering fruity aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy texture. Moderate carbonation. Very smooth with no astringency or harshness; a subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present.
