The nose is greeted by a sharp lactic tang and a complex web of earthy Brettanomyces funk, reminiscent of sun-drenched leather and rustic hay. Deep, dark fruit esters suggest macerated berries and plums, which transition into a bracingly tart palate. The acidity is firm but clean, elevating flavors of fermented fruit skins while maintaining a lean, dry structure. With a lively carbonation and a crisp, tannic finish, this 5.5% ale offers a sophisticated interplay between wild fermentation character and dark, atmospheric fruitiness.
