Iki Ginger presents a unique sensory fusion of an amber base with the distinctive infusion of fresh Sencha tea leaves and Ginger. This Spice, Herb, or Vegetable Beer pours a warm amber with a persistent off-white head. The aroma is dominated by the zesty, peppery snap of Ginger, layered over the subtle, grassy, and slightly vegetal notes of Sencha tea. On the palate, a toasted malt backbone provides a crispy foundation, allowing the spicy warmth of the ginger to create a refreshing tingle. The finish is clean and dry, with a delicate herbal astringency from the tea leaves providing exceptional balance and drinkability.

Appearance. Medium amber color (approximately 12 SRM) with a fine-textured, off-white head that demonstrates moderate retention. Clarity is generally clear, though a very faint haze may be present due to the tea infusion.

Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. The dominant profile features fresh, spicy ginger with its characteristic peppery and citrus-like edge. Complementing this is a subtle herbal and earthy note from the Sencha tea leaves. The malt provides a light background of toasted bread and faint caramel, while hop aroma remains low to allow the specialty ingredients to shine.

Taste. Initial impression is one of refreshing crispness. The flavor of spicy Ginger is front and center, providing a mild heat that persists through the swallow. Earthy and grassy flavors from the Sencha tea emerge in the mid-palate, adding complexity. A moderate malt sweetness with notes of toasted grain balances the spice. Bitterness is low to moderate, partly derived from the ginger itself. The finish is dry and clean with a lingering ginger zest.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with moderate to high carbonation that enhances the crispy and tingling sensation of the ginger. Alcohol warmth is very low and well-integrated. A slight herbal astringency from the tea tannins adds structure without being harsh.
