This elevated Irish Stout presents a rich tapestry of deep roast and smooth textures. The grist, featuring English Maris Otter and German Vienna Malt, provides a sturdy, bready foundation that supports layers of fresh espresso and dark cocoa derived from Coffee Malt and debittered Black Malts. The addition of Domestic Oats lends a velvety silkiness to the palate, enhancing the overall weight. Hopped with Columbus and Cascade, the beer balances its roasted intensity with subtle earthy and floral undertones. Despite its higher strength, it maintains a classic profile, finishing with a pleasant bittersweet chocolate linger and a well-integrated, warming presence.

Appearance. Jet black and opaque, showing deep ruby highlights when held to light. Topped with a dense, long-lasting tan head that leaves significant lacing.

Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Leading with rich roasted coffee and dark chocolate. Secondary notes of toasted bread and faint nuttiness from the malts. A low earthy and slightly floral hop aroma is present in the background. Low fruity esters.

Taste. Bold roasted grain flavors, reminiscent of unsweetened chocolate and cold-brew coffee. Medium-high bitterness is well-countered by the bready malt sweetness of the base malts. The finish is moderately dry with a lingering roasted character and a touch of caramel. Clean fermentation with very low fruitiness.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a notable creaminess and silkiness. Carbonation is moderate. A light, pleasant alcohol warmth is present, though the beer remains remarkably smooth with no harsh grain astringency.
