Magic is an elegant Witbier that offers a sophisticated twist on the classic Belgian style. The sensory profile is defined by a soft, bready wheat base that serves as a canvas for a bright, aromatic bouquet of bergamot peel and chamomile. While traditional coriander provides a familiar peppery and lemony spice, the bergamot introduces a unique, perfumy citrus lift that exceeds standard orange notes. Chamomile further enhances the complexity with its soothing, tea-like floral character. Effervescent and crisp, the experience concludes with a clean, dry finish, making it a highly refreshing and multifaceted example of a Belgian wheat ale.
Appearance. Very pale straw (3 SRM) with a moderate, milky haze from starch and yeast. Features a dense, white, moussy head with good retention and light lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity with a complex profile of zesty, perfumy bergamot and floral chamomile. A grainy, bready maltiness is present with light honey notes. The coriander adds a distinct lemony, spicy-herbal character that blends with subtle fruity esters.
Taste. Initial bready, grainy malt flavors followed by a moderate citrusy fruitiness from the bergamot. Subtle herbal and floral notes from chamomile are balanced by peppery coriander. Hop bitterness is low, providing just enough structure to support the refreshing fruit and spice. Finishes refreshingly crisp and dry without any harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a notable smoothness and light creaminess from the wheat and oats. High carbonation provides an effervescent, lively character. No alcohol warmth or astringency.
