This decadent Imperial Stout offers a luxurious, multi-layered sensory journey defined by its massive 13% ABV and dessert-inspired additions. A deep base of roasted malt provides a foundation for the intense, aromatic presence of toasted coconut and earthy roasted hazelnuts. Madagascar vanilla beans impart a creamy, floral sweetness that weaves through rich layers of buttery toffee and dark chocolate. Appearance. Jet black and opaque (40+ SRM). Deep tan to dark brown head with low to moderate retention. Viscous legs are prominent on the glass due to high alcohol and sugar content.
Aroma. High intensity. Dominated by sweet toasted coconut and rich Madagascar vanilla beans. Beneath the adjuncts lies a deep, complex roast with notes of bittersweet chocolate and coffee, complemented by an earthy hazelnut character and a hint of dark fruit esters like raisins or prunes.
Taste. Initial impression is powerfully sweet and decadent. Strong flavors of toffee and toasted coconut lead, followed by the nutty depth of roasted hazelnuts.
