Humble Forager Brewery

This Imperial-strength American Porter is a decadent, sensory-rich tribute to classic chocolate-coconut cookies. The 'thick, rich, chocolaty base beer' is transformed by the addition of aromatic toasted coconut and earthy cocoa nibs, creating a profile reminiscent of a liquid macaroon. Madagascan-style vanilla beans add a creamy, smoothing layer that buffers the intense dark malt roast, while a distinct thread of spicy cinnamon provides a warm, woody complexity. At 12% ABV, the beer delivers a significant but integrated warmth that carries the dessert-like flavors through a long, indulgent finish, expertly blending traditional porter roast with contemporary pastry elements.

Appearance. Opaque, jet black to very dark brown with deep garnet highlights visible only at the edges. It pours with a dense, mocha-colored head that shows moderate to low retention due to the presence of coconut oils.

Aroma. High intensity with dominant notes of toasted coconut and sweet vanilla beans. Behind the adjuncts lies a robust roasted malt character of dark chocolate and light coffee, complemented by a spicy cinnamon warmth and rich, earthy cocoa nibs.
