This Wild Specialty Beer presents a striking fusion of sharp acidity and lush hop character. Blood orange provides a zesty, citrus-forward foundation that intertwines with the tropical lime of Citra and the sophisticated white grape notes of Nelson hops. The grist of wheat and oat, bolstered by milk sugar, provides a soft, pillowy mouthfeel that rounds out the pointed lactic sourness. It is a complex sensory experience where the sweetness of the lactose and the tartness of the fruit dance against a backdrop of vibrant, juicy hops, finishing with a clean, refreshing tang and a lingering citrus brightness.

Appearance. Deep gold to hazy orange (SRM 6-9) with a dense, creamy off-white head that shows moderate retention. The beer is nearly opaque due to the heavy use of wheat, oats, and fruit additions.

Aroma. High aromatic intensity featuring dominant notes of fresh blood orange zest. The hop character is equally prominent, showcasing Citra's grapefruit and Nelson's vinous, gooseberry-like qualities. A light doughy malt sweetness from the wheat is present, alongside a clean, sharp lactic acidity and a hint of creamy sweetness.

Taste. Initial impression is a bright, tart lactic sourness balanced by the smooth sweetness of milk sugar. Flavors of blood orange and tropical fruit are intense, supported by hop-derived notes of passionfruit and white wine. Malt flavor is low, providing a simple cracker-like base. Bitterness is low, allowing the acidity to provide the primary structure. The finish is juicy and tart with a clean, fruity aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a distinct creaminess and velvety texture derived from the oats and milk sugar. Carbonation is moderate to high, providing a refreshing prickle that cuts through the density. Alcohol warmth is very low and well-integrated.
