This striking green version of a Czech Lager offers a unique visual experience derived from natural chlorophyll. Brewed with a traditional triple decoction, the rich Czech malt base provides a deep, bready fullness and significant body. Two varieties of Czech hops contribute moderate herbal and spicy notes, balanced by a medium-high bitterness that anchors the profile. As an unfiltered Spice, Herb, or Vegetable Beer, it maintains a slight yeast presence that adds softness to the mouthfeel. The result is a harmonious fusion of festive aesthetics and the robust, structured character of a classic Bohemian pale lager.
Appearance. Distinctive vibrant green hue; slightly hazy to hazy owing to its unfiltered nature. Pours with a dense, creamy, pale-greenish-white head with excellent retention and lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring rich, bready, and slightly toasted malt notes from the Czech malt. Balanced by prominent spicy and herbal aromas from the Czech hops. Very low earthy or vegetal hints from the chlorophyll may be present. Clean fermentation with a light yeasty note.
Taste. Initial impression is malt-forward with a complex, bready sweetness characteristic of triple decoction. This is quickly met by a medium-high bitterness and spicy hop flavors. The finish is crisp and clean with a lingering herbal hop character and a subtle, soft yeastiness.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly rounded texture. Moderate carbonation provides a gentle prickle on the tongue. No significant alcohol warmth or astringency, maintaining high drinkability.
