Howling Hops

This Double IPA radiates an intense hop presence, driven by a trio of Galaxy, Talus, and Citra. The aroma is a vibrant explosion of tropical passionfruit and zesty grapefruit, transitioning into a palate defined by tangy, zingy lime and lush pineapple. Despite its robust 8% ABV, the beer remains exceptionally drinkable, with a clean, neutral malt backbone that provides a supportive foundation without introducing heavy caramel notes. The finish is strikingly dry and crisp, showcasing a firm bitterness that lingers pleasantly. It represents a modern take on the style, where high hop saturation meets a refined, suppable texture.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (8 SRM) with slight haze. Features a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head with fine-textured lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop profile featuring prominent notes of passionfruit from the Galaxy hops, coupled with pink grapefruit and subtle herbal sage from Talus. Citra provides a sharp citrus burst of lime and mango. Background malt is neutral, clean, and grainy.

Taste. Initial impression is a surge of tropical fruit and lime zest. The bitterness is assertive but clean, lacking any harshness or astringency. Flavors of pineapple, peach, and citrus peel dominate, supported by a low, soft, crackery malt character. The finish is dry and hoppy with a lingering resinous and citrusy aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is moderate-high, providing a lively mouth-coating sensation. A well-integrated, gentle alcohol warmth is present but smooth.
